Alvin and his brothers lost in the middle of nowhere
On a dark city highway
Warm wind in your fur
Lost in the middle of nowhere
With no one to care
As the early sun rises
You'll be sure to hear
We're lost thanks to Alvin

'Alvin, face it, we're lost. Pull over.''
Simon said with some irritation. Theodore nodded in agreement.
'Oh please, Simon, I know where I'm going.''
''Yeah'', Simon said, nowhere.'' Theodore looked worried.
When his brothers were like this, there was nothing to be done.
Alvin hadn't found their hotel yet and it was getting darker by the minute.
Dave was going to be worried about them being on the road for so long.
Alvin finally stopped the car on the side of the road. They looked at their map.
'Oh great.'' Simon sighed. ''We're completely lost.'' The trio looked at each other.
They were at least 4.5 miles away from their destination. Which looked good.
Until they realized they were on the road in the dark. None which loved the dark.
This was so not good. In the distance they saw something that could be a motel.
They looked a bit more optimistic now. They got the car going again. They'd be able to make it.
'Look guys, we'll stop here and call Dave asap.'' They went up to the front desk.
Something was off. As they got closer they soon realized what it was. It was so eerie.
The whole place seemed out of sorts, thought young Simon. And really weird too.
Theodore was too tired to take in the sights. He just needed sleep so bad. He was falling asleep on his feet.
Simon held him up as Alvin rang the bell. Nothing. Just silence. Then, they got, something.
Simon gulped as he thought they wouldn't last the night. Theodore was sound asleep. Lucky him.
Alvin was oblivious as he walked up to the man who appeared behind the desk.
Simon was looking for the nearest exit to make their hasty escape while they still could.
They were all doomed thanks to Alvin's sad sense of direction. Way to go bro.
'Hello there, young sirs, how may I assist you this evening?'' The two bros shared a look.
It was Alvin that answered. ''We'd like to borrow a phone my good man.'' Simon rolled his eyes.
Right away sir.'' He went behind the desk and into another room. He came back shortly.
'As you requested sir.'' ''Righty oh.'' Alvin dialed Dave.'' After a few minutes he hung up.''
'Looks like we're staying over night.'' Simon looked horrified. ''Alvin, do you think that's wise?''
Alvin looked at his brother confused. ''Why wouldn't it be? Under the circumstances.''
Simon looked uneasy. ''Just look around. Who has granite vultures for décor?''
Alvin shrugged. ''Eccentrics?'' He hazarded a guess. Simon still looked upset.
Theodore slumbered on as they were showed to a room. ''Enjoy your stay at the ''Hooked Claw.''
Just the name seemed ominous. They lugged Theodore onto the bed. He was heavy.
They sat down on the beds and turned the TV on. Simon perused the mini fridge in the corner.
Someone had left them some juice boxes. He grabbed one for him and Alvin.
They watched the news until they both fell asleep. Simon tossed around all night.
The others had no such problems. This place, he thought. It was unsettling him. Morning seemed far away.
They got up to leave come morning after a short breakfast. They were ready to be on their way.
They gave the key to the man ''Horus'', at the front desk. Simon dashed out the front doors.
The other two followed behind more slowly. They climbed in and got back on the road.
For Simon they couldn't get away far enough for his tastes. But at least they were going.
The boys couldn't wait to tell Dave. Theodore was once again out. One last stop.
To keep them going until they reached home.
