Things always look greener on the other side. Share the 'things no one told you', that you wish you'd known about something, eg. parenting, high school, leaving home, etc.

*Laugh*marriage! I wish I'd had known in advance just how boring marriage could be! Had I known, I'm sure I'd not have married the guy who chased me for the four years I was in college...He made himself friends of my parents so at graduation the pressure was on. He was boring, had no backbone, was a failure as it turned out after he got what he wanted: marriage to a college graduate who would have been happier as a single woman who gave in to marriage because of public and religious and family pressure to not be a single woman called an "old maid" before age thirty!!

3. What do you think are the benefits of blogging, or writing in general?

I LIKE BLOGGING. It is a way to be spontaneous, focus for moments on a single subject, sometimes a provocative subject, sometimes an important topic, and sometimes it makes no sense at all...example is promp2 which is too unclear to bother with.

I don't see any particular benefit to blogging except that it encourages writers to get experience in writing spontaneously, sometimes competively.

1. In your opinion, what tools and traits does a writer need in order to be good at their craft?

First, a writer must have good grasp of the language in which they write since sloppy use of a language is a huge turn-off for readers.

A writer must have ideas and thoughts which interest some portion of the readers of the world.

With those qualities, any person can be a writer.
