From times gone by and Bible days, the Psalmist sang the song of how to always give God praise no matter what went wrong. They would play the harp and cymbals, the psaltery, lute, and harp. Others played the drums and timbrels, but never flat or sharp. Praised the Lord for his creation and beauty all around. Praised the Lord for our salvation that left us safe and sound. We praise him still with instruments that we can understand. A choir with diverse implements the choir master planned. Pianos, drums, and stringed guitars send songs of praise above; past sunny skies and shining stars straight to the throne of love. And one day soon when we arrive at heaven's pearly gates, No angel there will e'er deprive the music of his grace. Lines = 24 WC = 132 |
Once a heart young, innocent, pure, beat with a love timid, unsure. A rush of blush at every turn; to be combined our only yearn. Courtship, proposal, wedding plans filled our days 'til they read the banns.* That day we vowed to endlessly love each other breathlessly. The early years were harsh and rough, to have each other was enough. Then came the kids, our family was growing ever happily. Homeschool, field trips, activities sports, and friends and festivities, and all things we do together keep us warm during cold weather. As years go on and kids leave home, once again we'll be left alone. As we grow in maturity we'll settle in tranquility. A love like ours will e'er endure, grow in grace, and ever mature.
