Estrella Blanca

Catch the White Star to a warmer clime,
to Guadalajara by bus and by plane.
Turn the clock forward to Mexican time,
leaving Pasco and winter far behind.

Why leave these train tracks, these silos of grain
the toil of labor, soil begging for rain,
the dullness of breath without culture, the pain
of loneliness without family when,

the White Star beckons at the shiny depot:
train, bus or plane it goes where you go,
south to a warm fragrant clime. Guadalajara,
and Mexican time. Turn the clocks forward.

*Note2* Sketching it out:

La Estrella Blanca (White Star; a Mexican busline) in Pasco at the depot can arrange trips to various places in Mexico (There are many Mexican laborers in the Tri-City area of Eastern Washington). I asked about Guadalajara as I'd like to visit that region, especially Colima, 3 hours south. $295? Ouch. But sounds doable. *Bigsmile* Pasco, WA is on Pacific time. Guadalajara on Central.

*Note2* Other writers say...

Kamiko Hahn, another presenter at AWP in Denver on science as inspiration for her poetry (as do I at times):

*Note2* Thou:

Party of 5 is thinking about re-posting some of his entries from his Lost Blog: "Invalid Entry. Some were extremely funny, so I hope he does.

Voxxylady has opened a new blog: "Rolling Onward: Blog #3

dareng has a brand new boyfriend and promises to blog about that soon; IdaLin has far too many admirers (who can't handle her effervescence) and me? *Frown* I sit here alone. *Laugh*

*Note2* Me and Mine:

Cabaret started slow and the first part was mediocre, but the second got much better. The duet of "Lily's eyes" from Secret Garden was stunning.

Nothing else to report. Does my eating buffalo liver count? Didna think so. My walk Saturday was to the bank; today I walked along the river in the fog... hmmm... need a life! *Laugh*

But I did have my rosemary potato bread and later my rosemary-sage bubblebath last night. Ain't you jealous!

*Note2* Missoula: a sunny, foggy 32º at 4 p.m. Montana Standard Time.
