NaPoWriMo--Day 24

Surgeons can replace our bones and joints
with metallic rainbow hued parts
and fit us with slightly used substitutes
for our eyes, kidneys, and hearts.
Our plastic brains can be rewired
by intricate feedback loops
but what is the substance of consciousness
that keeps us running through hoops?
