"Storm's End" (Poetry/Day 30)

Storm’s End

The churning water claws the shore,
the wind restrained to a dull roar,
as the anger passes.

The clouds, once dark and full of hate
now, as I watch, they dissipate.
Tranquility amasses.

Belief in things that can’t be seen
gives me the strength to stand between
the darkness and my life.

The storms of life come everyday
but my faith won’t wash away.
I’ll overcome each strife.

Hope stands like a guardian;
after the storm, it is the sun.
