Moment, A momentous event worthy of almost fifty years of just good enough. Santa came and went by the time I was seven. Yes, I have experienced the natural progression of life events--school; marriage, a child, buying my first home, I have checkmarks in most of the boxes of the" what have you accomplished in life?" Yippee! I am taking a summer college algebra class. Just how I wanted to spend my extra time for the summer--right! I wish that I had a pool--out back, to cool off in and a big shade tree to relax under. Who would'nt. That is why I am taking these courses so that I will obtain a degree that will pay for such luxuries. When I was younger, I loved going to this wonderful lake resort to swim; but, now I am no way interested in walking around in a bathing suit infront of other people. Grav... [Read more]

What to write? Is this primarily a venue to complain about to mundane events of my life. Or is it a format to help me sort out all the feelings and sometimes irrational thoughts that seem to feed my obsessive cumpulsive nature? The events of my day were a typical Saturday. I went garage saling, grocery shopping and made fried chicken with potatoes, greens and corn bread; although not a typical meal from my anglo-saxon heritage...but it sure was good. The flowers are in bloom, the grass is green and my house needs cleaned...WOW my very first poem--who would have thought. I have spent the past three days scrubbing, washing and rinsing, until tiny cracks started forming on my hands. There are alot of things I would rather be doing right now; like reading, writng or napping. I cannot believe it but I am back in college @ 40, The head that sets upon my stiff neck is filled with cobwebs and my cognitive abilities are slow to say the least;but, I pulled a 3.5 g.p.a this semester so I am feeling pretty good about moving on with continuing my education. I hope to be able to pass a CPA by the end of the next two semesters...who knows. I feel as though I am almost going against the grain of my abilities.
