This treatise is the result of a visit to church 1-18-09, and a song that became the root for the acrostic Worthy Is The Lamb, on 1-19-09 the second acrostic was gelled into the first.

Prompt: Would you volunteer to be one of the first colonists on Mars if it meant you could never return to earth?

Men are from Mars, and so is the candy.
An interesting question, considering this is the anniversary of 9-11-2oo1.
Realizing that I would never see the earth I was born upon again could give me pause to consider.
Surely there are those who would jump at the chance to leave it all behind.

MARS is a long way away.
As it stands now, my answer would be know.
Right here on this planet is where my roots are.
Serving the Lord here and now is what I must do.

MARS, ah MARS, would that we could resettle upon your soils.
A number of this world will one day get that opportunity.
Remembering the things that happened here on earth, I'll have to say God Speed.
See, I'm a earth bound kind of a guy.
