** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

This treatise is the result of a visit to church 1-18-09, and a song that became the root for the acrostic Worthy Is The Lamb, on 1-19-09 the second acrostic was gelled into the first.

Give thanks today.
In the good, bad, and ugly.
Value your time on earth.
Every day is precious and unique.

Thanksgiving day is here.
How great to know thankfulness.
As the world seems mad,
Now we can stop and reflect.
Knowing through all things we
Still have a reason to GIVE THANkS.

It's payday in the house.

Tithe is in the storehouse.

Bills are covered,

His provisions cannot be numbered.

Car is still in the air,

In need of a repair.

Truck seems closer now,

Yet only the Lord knows when and how.

Pain is all about,

Neck and back make me want to pout.

But in the end He is to be praised,

For from the depths of sin I was raised.

Experiencing salvation,

A release of consternation.

A sense of joy that passes all understanding,

Keeps me unafraid in the midst of pounding.

Deliverance from depression on 01-02-2014,

At His bidding I did rebuke it 10 months ago.

Some would make me doubt and wonder,

This very week it was affirmed anew.

Note will be added attesting to the healing,

For you see I was on Facebook, His miracle sealing.

The blanket of depression dropped upon my heart, mind and soul.

Then in an instant it was gone and to Him all praise shall go!

Poetry corner is about His provision yesterday, today, and beyond.

What will your lines be today beloved? Your words are important,

for you never know just who will see in your lines a hint of hope for their situation.

Drop a line as you are led; or stop in by liking; your voice heard all the same.

Remember whether it rhymes, has form, or is just plain freehand, matters little.

It's writing from the heart a word you have to share that will wax poetically every time.

P.S. For those who post your lines in the comments, I offer the service of reviewing your lines in a private message.

It's what I do on writing.com, and this is a natural extension of that if you so desire to receive a review.

The year is almost over.

Thanksgiving we will soon cover.

Let's remember to daily thank,

This holiday, we must not forsake.

While Christmas is pushing into view,

Thanksgiving comes first anew.

Commercials are ignoring the season,

Yet it was created and celebrated for a reason.

Thankfulness is a losing art

As cold and hard grows the heart.

Relight the wick, the candle, the warmth,

And fight back against the seasonal wrath.

Black Friday is soon to arrive,

Let us emerge so much alive.

By being thankful in this season,

We will have a buffer against the heart freezing.

Be kind to one another,

The lesson of patience let us learn.

And boldly give thanks to another.

The Great I Am, His Great Love will burn.

Poetry Corner has moved to my Notes.

Sometimes there is more to say than 400 words.

Praying to here you will find your way,

And if you want to subscribe that is okay.

As always you're welcome to drop your lines,

Remember that all ages will see the vines.

So keep it clean as I know you can,

And tomorrow we will open another poetic can.

I love writing.
I love reviewing.
What do you like doing?
Let your dreams be your guide.

Some like woodworking,
Getting the saw dust in their eyes.
Others like tie dying,
The fingers they are staining.

Come on beloved,
What's your muse?
That discipline so loved.
Maybe even those clippers you use.

What is your passion?
What starts your heart dashing?
Whatever it is, I say do it.
Even if your horse you shoe it.

I was born.
Was it evening or morn?
That I don't really know,
But it was quite a show.

I was a sickly kinda boy,
It wasn't a lot of a joy.
But still I played as much as I could,
And got into trouble more than I should.

Limbs broken,
Foot cut deeply,
Scar is still a token,
Of the tin can found in the woods.

Poetry corner will be moving to my notes,
If you'd like to be tagged drop me a note.
Today's word came from a reminiscence,
Of a time that was filled with life and innocence.

Where will your next lines come from?
Could it be a memory of that perfect prom?
Or the smell of a batch of fudge cooking on the stove,
Maybe something as simple as a garlic clove.

Alternate Prompt: Write about your favorite quote. Please include the quote if you chose this prompt.
"This too shall pass." Mark Lowry etal.
This too shall pass is such a comfort.
Here in these words you know there is hope.
It means that the hardest trials the world throws at you will pass.
Seeing this quote even now comforts me anew.

The car we've had for many years is now terminally ill.
Oh man the laundry list is so long. From oil leaks to inspection sticker expired, just the tip.
On the final day the car could be kept in the apartment complex, inspection was passed.

Surely was a miracle because the engine light that would never go off went off long enough to pass.
How we felt some relief and the hope was restored.
Ah but the game was not over yet. Time was bought to get a definitive diagnosis.
Let it be said the relief was tempered by the verdict on the cars condition.
Leaking oil was not the problem. A head gasket is terminally ill.

Pleased to know there is one temporary solution to buy more time to save $ for a truck.
A product that helps seal cracks will be used. No guarantees it will take.
Seeing Little Red laboring for motion, and revving at 2000 rpm, is hard on the Copes.
Surely a car has been a part of our family. In the final analysis we know This Too Shall Pass, and Little Red will be parted out to help other Saturn's stay on the road in the future.

Of the hundreds of trials and calamities that have befallen this Cope family, they too have passed and we are still standing. Content in the word from the Lord that we will have a truck in our near future.
For those who have been following my notebook updates and prayed for us during this most recent trial, this is the diagnosis we were hoping to avoid, but know in the end this too shall pass.
