June 29 is International Mud Day. All that you need to have fun today is water and dirt you mix them together and you have mud. Write about having fun with mud or in the mud. Write a story, poem, memory, or even a rant if you don't like mud. Enjoy and be creative.

Mud! Get your mud!
Unleashed and fun to sling.
Don't worry, it all washes away.

Dig into the wetness and shriek.
Unblemished and fresh from the source.
Making mud pies and having fun.

Mud is not dumb.
Uninhibited fun or even sophisticated skin care.
Dab on a little bit, or hey slather it all over the face.

This author remembers going out in the rain and making mud pies straight out of the ditch. Good news is no eating was done. Cause as fun as mud is it is dirt and water after all. Clean innocent fun bringing back good memories on this National Mud Day. Salute!

Let's create something...anything you can think of so long as you include - beach, frisbee, crab, sun and ice

I'd like to go to the beach during my vacation. Soak in thesun, toss a frisbee, and drink some ice tea. I know Rhonda would love to eat a stuffed crab along the way. There is actually a lake in town that I've never been to in my time in Arlington, Texas.

So that could be a bucket list item I add and fulfill within the next 10 days. Would be the quickest fulfillment. I am presently still dreaming of my personal encounter with a water fall. Hey maybe there will be a waterfall at the lake too. Wouldn't that be a blessing to do two bucket list items at one time.

It's Friday, have a blessed day and listen to the sounds of nature around you. If you do you may find that there is something out there that was meant just for you.

Prompt: Do you believe you have a purpose in life? If so, are you fulfilling it? If you don't feel like you have a purpose, then what are you going to do with your life?

Writing is my purpose in life.
Revealing to others new worlds and giving new hope.
Included in that writing is sharing my faith in the Lord.
That is the basis of hope that you will find in a lot of what I write.
It's a real hope, one that is not based upon human promises and abilities.
New is the hope that springs forth from faith in the Lord. It surpasses understanding,
Given freely and cannot be earned, His hope is one of my goals I seek to reveal to the readers of the poems, stories, and the occasional fictional piece I put forth.
Am I fulfilling my purpose?
I think I am here in the WdC and in the area of influence I have in my world. If I truly am; however; is up to those who read and return to read more.

I would also like to bring to your attention a cause that I am serious about and that is people driving into high water on a road, thinking they will make it through. This is one of my purposes in life as well and in that vein I will share the link to my youtube down to earth plea to everyone to do the math and stay safe. High Water + A Road = Don't Try It!
When you see water rushing over a road, and I mean even if it is 2 inches rushing across a road, you very well could not make it through. What then? You endanger yourself, those in your vehicle, and those who respond to rescue you from the water you thought was so tame and easy to get through.

Around the world, there have been interesting weather issues lately, what kind of weather frightens or annoys you the most? What do you do to be safe during the weather?

Lightning still scares me.
I was on vacation decades ago.
Got to go to Galveston, Texas for the first time ever.
Had a good time the first day, even watched a giant octopus movie.
The next morning I was exploring and it started raining.
Now it's common for a rain shower and even storm, I've heard in that area. lol.
I was downtown exploring old buildings, especially interested in old indoor theater's.
Nestled under an awning waiting out the rain, I saw a flash and smelled smoke above my head.
Got me a sudden burst of energy and high tailed it to the bus station.

Lightning cut my vacation short, but hey it's better to be safe than sorry.
Maybe I left just in time.
Now I stay inside when lightning is around, because you never really know when the strike will come.
The scariest drive I had in the midst of the recent rains here in Arlington, Tx was the night lightning and thunder were in abundance. The street was totally invisible but still stayed on the road. The lane were not visible so I'm glad there wasn't a lot of traffic. Took me about 20 minutes to get to work and hey I parked right in front, and saw yet another lightning flash as I scooted into the safety of a building where I've worked at for 11 years and counting now.

Confess or zip those lips... which is more out of character for you?
Zip it. If I have done something wrong I will confess it.
It's better to be honest and let it out in the open so it can be dealt with.
Plus your conscious is doing it's job and you feel better without your heart and mind cluttered by a wrong.
Zip It? Not for me.
Confess? I will so the consequences can be dealt with.

Prompt: The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and then... Finish this sentence with a story or poem.

The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and then boom!
Here come the clouds rolling in.
Every bird suddenly stopped chirping.

Sure enough something big was about to descend.
Unbeknownst to even the most sensitive devices,
Natural disaster was coming at break neck speed.

The Sun has flared.
Heat in a gigantic wave did descend.
Every tree burst into flames.

Sending the birds all atwitter.
Unbelievably oppressive heat scalds the sea.
No fish, crustacean, or even killer whale survived;

The Sun! The Sun! It has turned against us. Umbrella's looking so elegant on this early summer day, sparked! Raining flames down on those still seeking shelter from the suns onslaught. The roads in front of me began to boil and shoot out globs of the tar that was used to pave them decades ago.

The Sun! The Sun! Oh the mighty sun, what will be left of our world when indeed it really does flare; nay explode; and bring the final days of life on earth into being. I'm not sure personally, but I'm sure glad I woke up from my fitful sleep to realize it was all a dream. The world is saved for another day. Ah the reassuring hum of the air conditioner, sufficient enough to keep us cool on a day like today. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and for now all is well with the world.

Prompt: Do you have a lucky object that you keep nearby? Do you even believe that objects can hold luck?
I don't believe perse that objects can bring good luck.
I know there are a lot of items that are considered lucky, and those who find that it is the case are blessed indeed.

That being said: there is an item that I keep with me on a regular basis, more as a reminder of the Lord's provision for Rhonda than the luck factor.
On 8-6-2008, a routine pacemaker test revealed that Rhonda's battery needed to be replaced right away. It was dangerously low and she was experiencing many of the symptoms of a person with a low pacemaker battery including fatigue, increased seizures, and overall malaise.

Two days later; on 08-08-08; the day the Olympic games started, and a tragic bus accident dominated the news stations air time; Rhonda was in surgery and the pacemaker battery was being replaced. What started out as a 2 hour procedure ended up so much longer than that, because her operation was delayed due to an Emergency heart situation in the ER that her surgeon had to address immediately.

At one point in my time in the waiting room, I looked down at my key chain and among the keys, carabiner's, and the like was an 8 ball. You see on that day two lives were saved, and the funny thing is that I had gotten the 8 ball for my key chain collection less than 3 days before the operation. I had procured 2; for some unknown reason; and later in the year wound up losing my whole set of keys after taking a fall walking home from work one morning.

So still I have one 8 ball for my key chain collection that until recently I kept with my keys as a reminder of the Lord's provision on 8-8-8 for the Copes, and the life of another heart patient who was in a critical battle for his/her life.

And the funny thing is that in the game of pool, the 8 ball is the losing ball if you happen to hit it into the pocket before you hit the other seven you have to clear; solids or stripes; and it is the only black ball in the whole set of pool balls. I've enjoyed many a game of pool and through all that time the 8 ball was my friend in a lot of the cases. On the other hand I've felt the sting of the ball as it drops into the pocket just ahead of the last of my seven balls to be cleared from the table.

8 ball lucky? It's a fickle thing. One with enough skill can manipulate that ball at will. Otherwise it's a crap shoot as to whether you win or lose. Thanks for reading beloved!

Prompt: Do you have a favorite letter of the alphabet? If so, write a poem or story about that letter. If you don't have a favorite letter of the alphabet then write something funny about the weather in your section of the planet.

My favorite letter of the alphabet?
A would have to be the choice.
With "A" you can begin a sentence about almost anything.
With "A" you have the beginnings of future greatness.
Alpha is the first letter in the Greek language, and it begins with "a"/
Amazing letter "A", if I could write a song, it would be about "A".
Well maybe not because if I could write a song I would always incorporate the Lord into the lyrics; who hey happens to be the Alpha and Omega.
So my favorite for this blog is A:
Tomorrow may be another story altogether.
