It's about time I start getting more serious. My goal is to work on brainstorming daily on my novel. If possible, write at least an additional paragraph daily and expand character development.
Nothing will ever get done if the ideas keep dancing around in my mind and are never written down. One blog post a day will help me compile the days thoughts so that they are at least down in writing in some shape of form... even if not exactly word for word so nobody tries to take them as their own. Just in words in which I will understand the meaning.
I love your TV series choices. I'm a fan of all of those shows. If you can bond with your dad in some form then take it rather than those who don't speak to each other at all.
That does give me some ideas. I started a project here on my actual website: http://smalladv.linalicette.com/
My idea is to make it more public and bring out free short stories for kids since I hear one of the reasons kids are not read to or given books is because their parents are too poor or cheap to get some.
Daily didn't work for me at first either but I would encourage you not to give up. Right now, I have over two weeks of daily entries! I am going for 21 days in a row.
I stumbled on your blog as I was looking for others who were using a blog in a similar way as I am.
My writing goals are not the same as yours. I want to write articles . . .
I want to earn a living writing articles . . . and speaking . . .
I don't think that it matters that our goals are different, I think that we can both benefit from the discipline of keeping track of what we do each day to move in the direction of our goals.
You might read "It Starts . . ." to see what my entries looked like when I started as compared to the one I mentioned above which was just written two days ago.
The only thing that I have published so far is just a simple article on Associated Content:
I would love your feedback on both my blog, my article and this comment . . . it was intended to encourage you to continue with an activity that has the potential of helping you better focus your energies on the activities that will help you reach your writing goals. Let me know what you think.
