NaNo 2010. Supernatural Modern Fiction. WIP. |

I've been thinking of writing this for a bit and decided that Nano is perfect to motivate myself and my muse into writing it. Synopsis: A trio of gifted youths struggle to learn how to control their powers while protecting the young heroine from being captured by a group of people seeking to use her powers for their own means. The story is based mainly around three characters - a pair of fraternal twins (boy and girl) and an orphan boy - though it loosely focuses on the entire small group that these three belong to. The three main characters possess supernatural powers through the basic theory of genetic evolutionary mutation and the agency the rest of the group work for is set up to help those that have these special powers learn to control them so the individuals can live productive, normal lives. (Just as a warning, I have a dark outlook on many things, and that apparently has translated into this setting. Be prepared for the darker side of life mixed with a bit of fantasy.) I know none of this really does any justice for setting the mood/pacing for the story or helps you understand the convoluted plot, but I hope it does at least give you some hint as to what you'll be getting yourself into by reading. This story is no where near finished yet. Please keep in mind this is a WIP. Thanks for bothering to read past this horrible set up. I am grateful for any and all input - no matter how brutal you think it may be. |
