Dream Catchers An ancient Chippewa tradition The dream net has been made For many generations Where spirit dreams have played. Hung above the cradle board, Or in the lodge up high, The dream net catches bad dreams, While the good dreams slip on by. Bad dreams become entangled Among the sinew thread. Good dreams slip through the center hole, While you dream upon your bed. This is an ancient legend, Since dreams will never cease, Hang this dream net above your bed, Dream on, an be at peace. |
Prompt: Food is essential to our existence although it is not always in the best possible combination. Tell us about the worst food combination experience you've had. Did you make it or did someone else? Goodness, what a loaded question. My son's wife insists on doing the cooking, and of course, no one can tell her something that she doesn't already know. Sooooooooooooo, I had to really think on this because there has been so many. The one I finally decided on was her version of enchiladas served with fried potatoes and corn. She makes with unseasoned canned chicken (no onions) wrapped in flour tortillas, and covered with green sauce. I sit down and take as little as I can get away with and smile sweetly as I force it down. To save myself I will throw mine together (I make both beef and cheese and onion) for a breath of air. I can't very well hurt her feelings, now can I. Kristina |
