Dream Catcher
Dream Catchers

An ancient Chippewa tradition
The dream net has been made
For many generations
Where spirit dreams have played.

Hung above the cradle board,
Or in the lodge up high,
The dream net catches bad dreams,
While the good dreams slip on by.

Bad dreams become entangled
Among the sinew thread.
Good dreams slip through the center hole,
While you dream upon your bed.

This is an ancient legend,
Since dreams will never cease,
Hang this dream net above your bed,
Dream on, an be at peace.

DAY 1294 May 31, 2016

The hot topic is: Were Cincinnati Zoo officials justified in killing Harambe the gorilla?

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/%E2%80%98shooting-an-endangered-animal-is-worse...

I've included the link in case you have not seen it.

I don't think justification comes into play. Forced? Yes. Here you have a child 3-4 yrs. of age unsupervised to the point he/she climbs over a railing and through a fence and falls into the gorilla enclosure. This gorilla is not a tamed pet and I am sure it was just startled as everyone else. Just think if you were standing in your backyard and something big and alive fell out of the sky.

I am not sure trying to tranquilize the gorilla would have prevented the gorilla from becoming more agitated to the point where it may killed the child before it went under. I think... yes the child had to be saved but I believe the question should be what in the hell were the parents doing while the child was climbing over the railing and through a fence?

prompt:As part of the “war on drugs” and in reaction to an increase in
school violence, many schools across the nation now conduct
targeted searches of student lockers and backpacks. Although the
Supreme Court has ruled that public school officials have the right
to search students’ persons and property when they have
reasonable cause to suspect weapons or drugs, many people feel
this is a gross violation of students’ right to privacy. Others feel
that since school officials are responsible for the well-being of
students while they are in the building, they have the right to
search for drugs or weapons at any time. How do you feel about
this issue? State your position and explain your reasons with
specific examples.

Personally, I think the schools should have the right to search those under suspicion. That is how others are protected. I could go on a rampage every month when I have to stop my writing, leave my bedroom dressed or undressed while my entire house is searched because my son allowed his stupid sister-in-law to live in my garage. But what is the point. The police don't stay long, I have nothing to hide, and I am doing nothing wrong. However, they may wonder where my mind is at if they took the time to read some of my work. *Laugh*

Bottom line: if you are doing nothing wrong, have nothing to hide—don't sweat it.
