Dream Catchers An ancient Chippewa tradition The dream net has been made For many generations Where spirit dreams have played. Hung above the cradle board, Or in the lodge up high, The dream net catches bad dreams, While the good dreams slip on by. Bad dreams become entangled Among the sinew thread. Good dreams slip through the center hole, While you dream upon your bed. This is an ancient legend, Since dreams will never cease, Hang this dream net above your bed, Dream on, an be at peace. |
Hi everyone, I know I have been away for quite awhile, but the last six months have been very difficult with my husband's illness and passing. I am a bit rusty in my writing, and I hope to overcome that. What I plan to do is pick a prompt and write on it. I am confident that this will get my creative juices flowing once again. I will put my prompt up, so if anyone would care to join me, please leave your responses here. I would very much enjoy reading them. Drop in anytime and chat. Kristina |
