A tribute blog to our favourite hockey team.
*Star* Welcome to our tribute blog! *Star* As you can see, Izzy's Writing and I are huge fans of the Detroit Red Wings. *Hockey* But it's so much more than that. They are our inspiration. They are such good people and are a great influence to the people of our world. Sure, everyone has their flaws, but if you can see past them you can see how good people can really be. I hope they can encourage people around the world that no matter what challenge you face, you can overcome it. So now, without further ado.....here is our team. *Bigsmile* *Heart*

Yes, i;m back! I would like to talk to you about THE captian, Stevie Yzerman. He was one of the best players in the world. He worked his butt off on and off the ice. But this was his finest hour. I don't think this needs another explaination.

Anyone else crying?

G'day everyone! Er, more like G'night for me, but whatever. *Laugh* Anyway, so to get back on track here, I would like to talk to you a little bit about one of the sweetest people on the planet, Niklas Kronwall-#55. He wanted to get involved with what is known as the Autism Alliance and the community of Detroit. In this video I'm posting, he tells his story with this.

I'm here again! In my last post on this wonderful blog, I talked about my captain. He will be mentioned again, but in a different light, if you will.

The Winter Olympics is every hockey players dream. Especially when you become captain of a hockey team. For this years winter olympics, Henrik became captain of the Swedish Hockey team. Being his dream, he was excited. But all of that was about to change.

Henrik had been carrying around a bad back all year. He thought they weren't going to bad during the Olympics. But they were. "Olympics is unfortunately over for me , it‘s the same old crap as usual in the back. Only 20 times worse. Of course it is incredibly lame. That this should happen now, during an Olympics, is pitiful. I get so darn sick", he said. A lot of fans' hearts, including mine, were broken. This was our captain, our leader. And he might be out for the rest of the season.

Niklas Kronwall, his teammate and fellow countryman, took over as captain for him. While I was happy for him, my heart was broken for Hank. Luckily, Niklas did a good job of filling in as captain. He took us all the way to the gold medal game were we lost to Canada. This is what he said about the medal. “If he doesn't end up getting another medal, I'm offering him the medal. I feel he deserves it more than I do.”

Brotherly love! *Heart*

Heyyyyy guys! I'm back!
So, as you all know, this blog is a tribute to our favorite team and the players we love. What better player to start talking about then the captain of our team, Henrik Zetterberg. He's a true team leader. Here's what some of his teammates say about him:

Niklas Kronwall: "“I thought he was awesome. He gives us an element that of course we don't have without him. He’s our captain; he’s our leader for a reason. I thought he was great out there. He’s been out for two months and I still thought he was one of our best players. It says a lot about him as a player and as a person"

Ok, maybe only one teammate. But they love and respect him a lot. So do his fans. Well, here's a chance for anyone to love him even more.

He and his wife, Emma, wanted to give back to the community of Detroit. So they formed this foundation. All I have to say is, if that isn't sweet, I don't know what is.

See you next time! Oh, here's a winking Hank to close off!

Hello everyone! It's a pleasure to have you read this blog and thank you to whoever does. I would like to tell you how I found this team.
I was never into sports, so I never watched any games. My grandpa (the one who's living) loves the Detroit Red Wings. But apparently that wasn't enough to make me love them. When I met Izzy, she changed that. She started sending me pictures of them from the internet and interviews and such. To be honest, at first I was like, "Meh, yeah whatever." But after a couple of times they really touched me in ways that words just aren't enough. I've been diagnosed with panic disorder and agoraphobia. I had to quit theatre because of it. That had pretty much been my only outlet besides writing. But, because of them I have something to look forward to. Not only now, but when I move back up to Michigan for college.
These boys are one of the greatest things in my life now, besides family, friends, and God.
Thank you for following us and hope you are inspired by them as I was! *Bigsmile* *Heart*
Forever a Red Wings girl,
Rebecca

Hi guys (and girls *Laugh*) My name is Izzy. As Becca said in the blog title, this is to our favorite hockey team. You may not have heard of them, and you may not know of them, but you sure can be loved and inspired by them. Before we begin, I'd like to tell you a little background story of how my love of this great team began.

Middle school was awful. Bullying, teachers, homework, and me being different. Every day was a struggle to survive and every night was a fight to get me to do homework. Besides my family, I didn't have a lot going for me. I didn't have something to look forward too after a hard long day at school. Until I found this team. I started watching them and, as the old saying goes, "It was love at first sight". While middle school didn't get any easier, it sure seemed easier with these boys in my life.

Please follow our blog and get the love, inspiration, and awe that this team gives.
