A place where I come to write freely.

This is where I come to sit and write, or type, whatever you choose to call it. When I use a pen it's usually just scribbles and lists, maybe the odd full idea here and there. I call it my writing room because I don't have a physical writing room so I have to make an imaginary one. I pretend it has a desk and shelves with books and hanging pictures. When my kids are making noise I pretend it has a door I can pretend to close. Sort of like Less in the show, WKRP in Cincinnati.

I don't expect too many people to read my stuff so I won't be too concerned about editing it. I hope you enjoy what you read.

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the article. I revised it since this version and uploaded it to my WP blog. I do a lot of writing about personal development and I'm writing a series, at the moment, with the theme being, basically, planning for personal success. Success of course is subjective. Everyone needs to define what success means to them.

Children are losing that ability to interact because texting is how they communicate instead of actual verbal conversation face to face whereas they can respond with their emotions as reactions. They don't get body clues or signals, they don't actually how to engage people in work settings or social settings without their smart phone.

It is very apparent with Alzheimer's patients as well once their memories begin to fail, making decisions is very difficult.

Your article was quite organized and enjoyable to read.

I agree. Most things are switched-around, old ideas. For NaNo this year, I thought of something which, to me, would be something different from what was done earlier or different from anything I have read. Then, today, while waiting for hubby at the dentist, I started to think around the idea and how I would go about it, and a realization hit me like a ton of bricks:

I will be using the 1001 Nights original idea in an upside-down, applied to real-life fashion.

Challenging ourselves is vital to our improvement and when we hold back that growth cannot occur. I look at my writing all the time when I feel insecure and the commentary to help me keep going.

Great post. But I would disagree that there is a universal fear of the unknown. Some of the most successful people are the ones who embrace the unknown.
