Mylo Xyloto is Coldplay's fourth studio album, released on 19 October 2011. It's a concept album based around a love story with a happy ending. "Mylo" was the boy and "Xyloto" was the girl. The album overall had creative, uplifting artwork and soundtracks which peaked on the charts like Paradise, Every Teardrop is a Waterfall and Princess of China. Coldplay makes music that speaks to me. For a person who has a little over five thousand songs across almost every genre, I've always found their songs beautiful in a way I can't describe of any other band. Why? Because you can tell that they truly enjoy what they do - it shows in the little things. They're authors themselves in a way, because every song is like a novel in itself, complete with its own world and characters. If you've ever been to one of their concerts, you'll fall entirely in love with the way they do things. This particular album I chose because it has some of my all time favourites. |
