The author, Joan Clark, is reading and giving a workshop next week, so I thought I'd at least read something. She's also our writer in residence and has helped me some already.
I won't give it five stars, but it is worthy to read, especially if you want to write literary novels and are interested in various voices. She uses a combination of third persons: present, past reflection, and omniscient. It's beguiling at times and overly telling, but somehow it matches the MC, a crazy woman who plays a piano board to her kitchen chairs every morning to stay sane-ish.
