I am a big fan of the Horror/thriller/mystery genres. About a week ago, I picked up a novel Black Lightning by John Saul, because I heard a few people on this forum talking about how good of a horror writer he is. So I have to agree with them; John Saul has written over 40 novels and his style of writing draws you in psychologically. Black lightning delves into the mind of a serial killer and that of his victims, as the killer looks at himself as a scientist would and the prey as just "research". If you like chiller/thriller/horror look no further than Mr. Saul. He is a master of his craft, very underrated writer, he should be up there w/ the big dogs such as King, Koontz,Straub, Mcammon, and Lovecraft.. Reading this novel makes me want to read them all , it is always a treat when for me when I find a prolific writer like that and have to read all of their works. Two thumbs up!
