I finished the book. It has a happy ending. The book is written as a group of letters following WW2. It was entertaining and you learned a little about the German occupation of Guernsey during WW2. The characters are likeable and made for an easy read. Some people may not like the format because you really have to pay attention to the address lines to see who is talking and who they are addressing in the letters.
