Hmmmm... Sounds like it's time to let go of the past to me. If you love writing... write. Why bother even trying to reconnect with anything that happened before? After all this time, it seems to me like a blank slate. Just come in, forget about the past, and start over.

Maybe it's just me, but the post seems ever so slightly hostile. It has been 3 years. Just forget about it, write, review... take advantage of what WDC has to offer now. If you never brought up the past, one may assume that you moved on from it and did not intend to rekindle issues long dead (and probably forgotten about by everyone else).

As for judges not liking your submissions as much, maybe it's just nerves or lack of recent practice... or any number of other things. No time like the present to get to work on it again. Right?
