The site's plug pages are not to be used as free advertising space for other businesses or websites.
The literary journal in question is available to read for free from a website.
Therefore the removal was correct.

Regarding whether the item would be allowable without the publishing credit in the intro --
The site's plug pages are also not to be used as free advertising space for marketing published material.

In addition, keeping in mind the stated purpose of the Please Review page -- The purpose of "Request Reviews" is to match those Writing.Com authors who are looking for serious critiques with those Writing.Com members looking to give them. Items should only be posted here if the author is looking for honest and helpful reviews. -- it does not seem particularly compatible with an item that has already been published. Rewriting published creative work is kinda unusual.
