I haven't seen this done so I can't tell you how to do it, but there is something else you could do to cut down on the going through information. If you put different sections of your shop into drop notes, such as pricing, gifting options, customization options, etc., you could reduce the visual clutter of the page. This would allow users to only expand what they need to read and then it would be quicker scrolling down the page to the forum portion, since members who've read it before wouldn't need to open the drop notes again.
