Just finished Neil Gaiman's 'The Graveyard Book', and although it's a children's book, I thought it was pretty good. It's about a toddler who's raised by ghosts in a graveyard. Gaiman's prose (and vivid imagination) is very distinct, and it makes for an enjoyable read. Funny thing is he was inspired to write this after watching his own son gleefully wandering around a real life cemetery! It's 307 pages long, but you can still read it in a day.
