Unfortunately, our processor does require the valid billing zip code. This is a bare minimum fraud prevention technique. Since we do use a separate company to process credit cards, I can't answer for you why the zip you're using is failing to meet the checks by the credit card processor, though I'd note you should use only the 5 digit zip code (don't try the full 5+4 code). As noted by another responder, you could try the "PayPal" payment option as you can also submit a credit card through them. They'll want a more complete billing address, but they are a separate option and separate processor so it's an entirely alternate route. We're using Stripe.Com as our processor (they're a huge processor and recently got the contract to process all of Apple's Apple Pay charges). Other than that, you could call your credit card company as and them why the charge attempt is failing. They may be able to shed more light and double-confirm the zip you're using.
