Christian Mysticism by William Ralph Inge was written just after WWI. It has some quotes in Latin which I can not read but it throws a light on many of the ideas and theory that were surfacing within Christianity at the time. The part of this book that is written in English is still relevant in churches today. I am struggling with some of the content but also gratified by how some of the concepts are still relevant and probably will be as time moves forward. (Nonfiction)
A Letter of Mary by Laurie R. King: Laurie R. King is one of my favorite authors. I like her Mary Russell series and have read many of her other books. Mary Russell is the heroine in this story. She is a scholar, detective, sidekick to Sherlock Holmes, and feminist in her time. I find the descriptions of the people and parts of England enjoyable as well as her ability to pull the reader into the real realm of Sherlock.(fiction)
