Re: On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft

I have read this book through, from cover to cover, two times, as well as skimming and re-reading certain sections. The clutches about Stephen King and I are that we were born in the same year but in different months. Stephen considered the year 1947 to be the year of the baby boomers--a couple years after WW II. This book does give an insight into those glory days of his youth and sibil riverary. I got a kick out of his pet names for his high school teachers and the material that rocked the intellectual fare at the high school. I'd say Stephen had no problem in persauading the student body with a fanfare of agreement and laughter. Ah, Stephen was just a youngester full of spit and fire where he could spell it out at the great displeasure of the adults. I'd say Stephen still muses over that with a broad smile.

Glad you have this book since it gives you an inside look at a growing writer and one of the greats.
