Re: Need Inspiration

Inspiration, as always, begins with you. You could say inspiration is the insight of the soul rolling its makeshift barrel down the endless ally of dread and dream. What you are really asking for is a pleasant outing with a favorite author just to dip your toes into sensation of his or her perceptions. of wonder and a lited up imagination. Writing begins with your life in tow. If you are angry, write about it. If you are happy write about it. How does life effect you at the cemetery or at church? What is the difference between reality and religion? Writing begins with thinking and thinking begins by asking the questions that you want an answer. Any good piece of writing begins with being honest with yourself and the subject. I am sure inspiration will start spilling off the edges of your day-pages of your life. Believe me, I have read many, many books on writing. This is fine, but when I looked around, I found myself alone and an empty page staring at me.

If I should be so indulgent, I recommend the book by Stephen King's nonfiction,'On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft.' This book will give you the insight into a developing writer.
