Re: Question on Sub-types and Genres
Articles are "a piece of writing included with others in a newspaper, magazine, or other publication" They are nonfiction.

Short Stories are "a story with a fully developed theme but significantly shorter and less elaborate than a novel." They are fiction.

Essays are "a short piece of writing on a particular subject" They are nonfiction.

Monologues are "a long speech by one actor in a play or movie, or as part of a theatrical or broadcast program"

Answers in quotes above are from Google.

Teen vs Young Adult. Comedy vs Humor. I always use them interchangeably myself. Maybe I shouldn't. Those that write both kinds on this site could explain it as I will leave it to them to explain.

And in these forums, The technical is for reporting issues and questions related to the site itself. "Why is this WritingML code not working" and non-technical is other types of site related questions like "Is the Newsfeed like Twitter?"
