The "change" awhile back was that you reorganized your portfolio, not something the site did.

No, new items do not always appear "at the end" of the existing list. If more than one item is "new"= not been moved with the Portfolio Organizer, the newest item will be at the top of that section of the list, next newest under that, etc.

If you never use the Portfolio Organizer, your items will automatically be sorted by creation date and listed with the new items on the top. Once you've changed the order, the default "zero" ordering value is changed, and the Portfolio Organizer must be used thereafter, because new items still start with the default "zero" value.

At the moment you could still reset your entire port to zero defaults, but you would have to go back to the pre-15 site, which hasn't been taken down yet, and put in zeros for all the numbers there with the old Change Order system to do that.
