If you post something that is open to the entire internet, it is unlikely that any publisher would be interested in publishing it because they would consider that already published.
If you posted something that was sufficiently restricted access, the copy on the site wouldn't come up if the publisher searched for it.
But if some publisher was interested and aware of the WDC copy, you would still have options that would not involve the site giving out personal information --
You could have the publisher email your WDC account to verify that the account holder and you are the same person.
If your username is not your real name, you could still use your real name as your handle when the time came.
