For those creative people who have or have had imaginary friends. There is more to you. |

Everyone talks to themselves. However, few, wonderful, and creative people have taken this to the next level: They have created an imaginary friend, or even multiple. Most of the time, this happens in childhood, but what most do not realize is that the average occurance of this phenomenon doesn't just stop there; it becomes more rare like a gradient toward adulthood. Consequently, there are some adults who do have imaginary friends, such as myself. Moreover, the reasons for these entities vary: Some create them as a coping mechanism for trauma and/or loneliness at any either intentionally or unintentionally. As a result of such trauma and of other factors, serious psychosis such as schizophrenia can create these imaginary friends. Now, this is a highly unexplored field, but it is one that becomes more interesting with the amount of time you spend thinking about it. In fact, I have created my own wiki about this subject to which I will provide a link in a forum. Who can forget such famous titles chiefly involving imaginary friends, such as Fight Club, A Beautiful Mind, etc. Please, share your own story, as I will share mine. Let us create interesting stories of our own with our personal ideas put together.
