What is the Thirty Days of Fiction Challenge?

This is a month long challenge designed to push writers to write a flash fiction short story of 300 words or less every day of the month. The goal is to create a discipline, self motivation, and commitment to achieving goals. A writer should push themselves to write something every day, and that is what the objective is! There are very generous prizes for those who complete the challenge! (MBs, GPs, and Awardicons to grand prize winners!)

You may sign up for this challenge by posting in the challenge forum here:

Simply post a message with your intent to join, and you will be added to the group's e-mail list. You will be emailed 3 days prior to the commencement of the challenge, and will receive motivating c-notes and emails throughout the challenge. I don't want anyone to drop out of the runnings, so I'll be cheering you all on every step of the way!



I'd like to join but I'm not very good at short stories.

That's OK! This challenge isn't about who writes the best flash fiction! This challenge is about making it to the finish line! The grand prizes are based on the content of an entire collection, but that will not discount you from many other prizes. Anyone who completes this challenge will receive a merit badge, regardless if they haven't wrote 300 word masterpieces! Give it a try! I look forward to seeing you in the listings!
