Have a Back-Up Plan!

I recently bought a house, and I now won’t have internet access (besides down-time at work or sneaking off to an internet café) for two whole weeks! I’m getting a lot of cleaning and unpacking done, but I really miss the internet. Also, let’s face it, we tend to collect online duties and responsibilities. It’s not all fun and games, right?

So, what do you do when you find yourself suddenly without the connection you rely on? What do you do when there are others relying on you? I think it’s smart to have a back-up plan just in case.

*Idea* Have an internet buddy. Find someone you can notify who can then notify others that you’ll be unavailable.

*Idea* Co-hosts. One of the reasons I support the idea of co-hosting contests & activities is that the other host can run things while you’re away.

*Idea* Free wifi. Find a free Wifi hotspot near you. Many restaurants and coffee places offer free Wifi these days. If you have a laptop or tablet, you can get online quickly to let others know of your absence.

The thing I'll miss out on the most, of course, is WDC's 15th Birthday Party Week! I'll be checking in as often as I can, because I wouldn't want to miss any of the celebration! Please visit this link for all the details on the week's festivities:

Ask & Answer

My last newsletter, ("Contests & Activities Newsletter (August 5, 2015)), discussed breaking the rules.

I'm something of a stickler for following the rules, especially in contests. However, upon understanding the rules, I think it's great to creatively interpret the rules a bit if it helps you write (or whatever) a better entry. Just don't expect to win if you stray too far from the rules. *Laugh*

I totally agree with you! *Bigsmile*

Questions to think about: What have you done when you suddenly lost an internet connection? How did you cope? And how are you celebrating WDC's birthday?
