GPs, Reviews, Recognition?
Poll Question:
What do you prefer?

Greetings reviewers!

Some of you might know me, and some of you might not. What I hope you do recognize is my group, "Reviewing Reviewers ~ ON HIATUS [E]. There has been a bit of a debate lately, and I wanted to come to those who would know the most about what they'd like to get - you!

There are some opinions walking around - I'll see if I can describe them to you:

Opinion 1

Reviews are more important than GPs to reward great reviewers on this site. It gets the group better advertisement, and matters more, because those high on the "Most Actively Reviewing Groups" lists are more respected around the site. GPs are fine, but they are just WDC's money. Reviews have more meat to them, and we will gain more credibility with them than with GPs.

Opinion 2

GPs are more important because it helps people raise on their own "Most Credited Reviewers" list, which makes them more visible to the site, and more respected by those that they review. It also helps them raise GPs for whatever they need to raise GPs for. Some people don't think money is important, but for some people who don't have very much, every little bit helps. (Plus, you never know what the reviewer might need the GPs for - there are a lot of people who use reviews that they do to raise money for upgrades, etc.)

Opinion 3

GPs and reviews are equally important. Not only do awarded GPs help a reviewer raise on the "Most Credited Reviewers" list, it is an easy way to show them that they are noticed, recognized, and appreciated for what they do for others on this website. Reviews are important, too, but placing Reviews over GPs would be unreasonable - just as unreasonable as placing GPs over reviews. Both kinds of rewards allow the reviewers to notice the presence of the group.

So Now I Pose The Question To You

Since you are the reviewers that my group would be rewarding, I lay the question your way, so you may respond as you'd like. What do you think is more important? Do you think they are equitable? Do you not care as long as you are recognized somehow? Do you not do it for recognition, anyway?

Of course, we can only review those who post their reviews publicly, so that would have to apply, as well.
