Child Abuse

          To put it bluntly, is anyone out there, does anyone care?
          A crime is being committed  against children everywhere.
      For molestation, murder, physical, mental, you name the abuse
                your voice in demand of a change, you must use.

                      Your children and mine are being denied,
                        neglected, forgotten and yes, left behind.
                  Tired of hearing the unspeakable done to a child,
        someone with nerve, pleads their case, in the system for awhile.

  They're not just our future, they're our present ... they live, cry and laugh.
Birthed, raised and nurtured, we carry their memories, as part of our past.
    No voice, in a world where the choice is someone elses call.
          Abused and cast aside, like they never mattered at all                                 
         
      To be treated so harshly, by those they look up to, respect and trust,
              children are fragile and precious, not miniature adults.
        They are vulnerable, caring, honest ... HUMAN, like you and me,
                  just like us,simply put, it is love that they seek.

                    To accept, look away, forget and move on,
                          are actions that must never be done,
                          for this is not how the fight for justice,
                                ON THEIR BEHALF, is won.
