"My name is Arahys Kha, and I am an assassin..."

The land of Cantha is one of beauty and bright colors, filled with happiness and celebrations that have gone unbroken for centuries. But now a darkness has fallen across its inhabitants. A plague has come to this once peaceful continent and brings with it suffering, sorrow and death. Creatures born from this darkness spread throughout the city, conjuring nightmares and secrets of dark times long forgotten. A young assassin is on the verge of adulthood, ready to step out into the world only to find that it's falling apart before his very eyes. Now he must find answers to save a world he barely knows, or risk letting everything become forgotten once more.

(Author's Note: The story is based off of the video game Guild Wars. It is a fanfiction of sorts. Overall plot, setting and locations, major plot dialogue, and many of the characters were all created by the designers of the game. Many of the main heroes, specifically the title character and his family, are my own creations.
