The thrill of it all is no thrill at all
Losing my soul in this hole
I've dug deep -
heart full of spears - many years
without sleep.

Days with no food and a mood
of a beast -
a life of crime filled with grime -
an addict's feast.

Bowl full of smoke, take a toke
to get high.
Dreams fade to black, in a sack
that's gone dry.

The pain is real, but I still -
lose it all.
Seeking hope, I try to grope -
hard I fall.

For a cheap thrill I would kill,
rob and cheat.
My head hung low, walking slow -
Hell I greet.

An endless mile, jaded smile
turns to frown.
Failure at best at life's test
so I drown.
