Short poem about a piano
Softly and slowly, my fingertips falling,
Trembling but quiet, they settle down lightly.
Coolness and smoothness, the keys to me calling,
At my piano I sit and play nightly.
                   Ivory,
                             Ivory,
                   Gently, I press,
                   Ebony,
                             Ebony,
                   Here I am blessed.
Music, so lovely, sublime and refreshing,
Every day I fall into this great bliss,
Soft and unfettered, my fingers caressing,
Singing a song of an ivory key's kiss.
                   Gently,
                             Gently,
                   Ivories long,
                   Lovingly,
                             Lovingly,
                   Inspiring song.
Hushed, but uncaring who hears such a story,
Sending my listeners paradise headed,
Tuning all hearts who would listen to glory,
Joy is ours until the song will have ended.
                   Loneliness,
                             Loneliness,
                   Songs all must cease,
                   Longing, then,
                             Longing, then,
                   For the next piece.
