The Kingdom of Bryndadth is under siege by Vicha and his Black Legion of the Morji
Authors Note: Welcome to my adventure! my goal is to publish an edited chapter every week or two. I hope you enjoy, and please feel free to contribute any and all feedback you deem worthy, it is all welcome. If for any reason I add on to a previously posted chapter, I will add "updated" to the chapter heading. To all: below is a general synopsis of the story line I mean to write on, it is not a prologue or first chapter. It is intended only to help draw interest to the story, and not solely rely on the first chapter. The hope is that this will be the beginning of a long story with several storylines. I add only the synopsis to give a general idea of where things are intended to go. PLEASE scroll down to the first chapter and I hope you enjoy the tale in which I would like to create.

In the lands of Bryndadth, after nearly five thousand years of peace and prosperity, an ancient darkness has returned. It is the year of the Jhodan (the great eclipse), when the three moons align to block the light of the great star Khoba. For in the darkness evil lurks. In the darkness death rises. The lands of Bryndadth which were once vibrant and fearless have turned into the land of the eternal grey.

An evil force is massing in the lands of the South known as the Savage Lands. It is a wasteland, home to savages and exiles. A cannibalistic tribe of humans known as the Ch’taera, and the exiled peoples of Bryndadth who have been sent to live among the savages as penance for there deeds, offered to the savages as slaves or food to keep the peace.

From the Savage Lands of the South, an exile turned necromancer (shamah) named Vicha Cyrac, has channeled an ancient dark magic that embraces death. This self proclaimed Lord and his Legion of Mud Priests have spread their death magic through the heart of the Savage Lands. The tribes embrace this new magic as a way to conquer the people of the North in Bryndadth. Those who follow willingly and embrace his dark religion are turned to soldiers in his Black Legion, cleansed of there old ways. Those that don't are forced to serve a grotesque penance in his service. Men are turned into mutated horned giants known as the Arakki. Women become winged demons known as the Valka, and even the children are turned to wolven creatures known as the Wolvyr.

In Bryndadth, a creature not seen in over five thousand years attacks a village in the mountains of the Northern Territory of Whitethorne, sent to deliver a message from the South. The village people revolt by the hundreds killing the beast and burning the town to ashes in its wake, but the damage is done. From its ashes rises a black pox called the Black Rot. Infecting man, woman, and child, it slowly kills one out of every three.

From his citadel perched along the cliffs of Mount Taros, King Bohan the Bold leads a land in fear and disarray. The peoples seeing the signs of darkness have revolted against his rule and the Baron houses who serve him. Scared the people begin to uprise seeking sanctuary from the evil.

Having received the necromancer’s message, and a first hand account from his noble heralds he consults his Holy Men of Taros known as hamok. and there warrior clan the Khobal Tor, an ancient brotherhood dedicated to the sun god Khoba. From them he learns of an ancient prophecy containing keys to a power that can overcome death, a power known only to the Ancestors, who fought the wars of darkness five thousand years ago in the last Jhodan. Who in fear of its power hid it and left the lands of Bryndadth to the far off lands of Lhas Miir taking with them the location of the power and its use.

With his kingdom in turmoil the old King, turns to his two sons, Tanion and Fowlar and shares with them the message of the necromancer. Unifying the South, he now names the Savage Lands, Morjia and its people the Morji and he their Overlord, promising death and destruction to those who will not bend their knee. For on the night of the Jhodan he will unleash a power the kingdom has never seen and charge his Black Legion to destroy them all.

To Fowlar, he gives his Knights of the Sun led by Syr Deacon Havoc, and all his armies charging him to march with his army to Moat Chaim on the crossing (a finger of land joining Bryndadth to the Savage Lands), where he is to erect a fortress barricade the size of no other, rallying the Armies of Bryndadth to defy the Armies of the South.

To Tanion, he gives his fastest fleet of ships, led by Syr Raike Wayn, and men from the Khobal Tor tasking them to find the Isle of Lhas Miir and to recover the great power of life spoken of by the hamok known as the Thainstone. But this will be no easy task, for it has been over five thousand years since word has been spoken of the Ancestors and where they went to.

Now with only one year until the eclipse, and with the armies of the South threatening the Crossing, both sons must fulfill their quest in order to stop Vicha and his Black Legion of Morji and restore the light and peace to Bryndadth.
