Transformations

                Saint Bridget was of Swedish decent . She was born to a
            wealthy family in Missouri. At an early age she demonstrated
            a calling to the performing arts. And would put on minstrel shows
            for her neighbors. Saint Bridget's performances were so popular
            amongst her fellow Missourians, that she set off for New York City's
            Broadway. At her first auditions, Saint Bridget put on her black face
            and sang "That old black magic."

                The casting agents burst into laughter as did the other actors.
            Saint Bridget was shocked at the response to her most beloved
            performance. A Broadway writer, who was present, had an inspiration
            to write a satirical minstrel show about Mitt Romney's campaign.
            Saint Bridget played a single working mom desperate to have an abortion.
            She played the role in black face and sang, "My mommy done told me."

                The musical received mixed reviews, but had sold out audiences.
            Saint Bridget was quite pleased with her career and would often go about
            in public in black face with her long blond hair in a bun under her afro.
            Many New Yorkans found this amusing, accept for some militant minorities.
            Saint Bridget was martyred on the East side of Harlem. Her lifeless body
            was shot, knifed and dragged behind a pink Cadillac to the theater
            where she had stared. Many miracles have been attributed to Saint Bridget's
            sarcophagus in Missouri. One man claimed he heard the Saint singing,
            "Mammy" when his hearing had been lost many years ago to moonshine.
            Sightings of Saint Bridget floating down Broadway in black face are still
            reported.

                Saint Bridget is remember on Halloween for her devotion to costume
            makeup. "I know Jesus was Jewish, but he sure looks Swedish to me!"
            she remarked before the Writer"s Guild in her black face. That was her last
            performance before her fateful visit to the Apollo. .. Her friends believed
            she was researching her character: Pussy Mama and she actually
            thought she could blend in with the crowd. It was a terrible mistake.+
