I stood staring down at her headstone
I stood
staring down at her headstone
reading the inscriptions:
"Beloved Mother and Grandmother"
"An Inspiration to all."


Memories
from my childhood...
her voice
echoed through my mind
joyous laughter
and her favorite hymn
Amazing Grace.

Memories
out of the past...
the scent of roses
hung in the air,
I felt her presence,
as the wind whispered comfort
and dried my tears.
