This is the character that I am entering in the upcoming Character Contest.
Name: Dafyd
Race: Human
Age: 14
Gender: Male
Personality: Somewhat shy and bookish, but also plucky and adventurous when the need arises.
Appearance: Average height, but somewhat skinny for his age. Hazel eyes. He has longish dark red hair which constantly falls over his eyes.

History: Dafyd was born and raised in Castle Clarington, which is the residence of the Glangorian Royal Household. Dafyd's father was the Royal Wizard. As such, he is schooled by tutors with three other children his age in the castle: Feston, son of the Captain of the Guard; Winger, the Chamberlain's son; and Brendora who is the daughter of the King and Queen. The classes include religious instruction in Marlonism which is the main religion of Glangor. In addition, his father has been privately giving him some lessons in magic.

Until recently, Dafyd was the only good student among the above mentioned four. The other three were all extremely naughty and caused the royal tutors heartache, but Dafyd was an obedient child and a favorite of the tutors, inclduding his Religion tutors. His Religious insultruction has also made him a somewhat more reverent individual for his age. Then, he was mysteriously pushed by his father into an adventure which took him into a bizarre alternate reality where goblins rather then humans rule. Brendora accompanied him on this adventure and was changed into a more likeable person by the experience. Feston and Winger, who did not take part remain as insufferable as ever. (That adventure is probably irrelevant to Dafyd's forthcoming adventures, but you can read about it here if you like):

All in all, Dafyd is a just waiting for another adventure to come his way, perhaps his father will suggest somthing when the time comes.
