Summary of this Book...
This is a book about an accountant Clare who has inherited the gift of seeing ghosts and helping them pass on to another world or wherever they are suppose to go, after her aunt dies. Inheriting a huge fortune with this gift, she is having difficulty adjusting seeing ghosts and trying to be normal. Meet Zachary Slade, a bad knee due to an accident after which he retired as a sheriff. He has also instincts, which warns him beforehand. Both meet each other, helping Clare take risks in helping ghost of Jack Slade. There are many different events that take place in the story as well as their growing relationship.
This type of Book is good for...
Those who like to read a mixture of thriller, ghosts and detective.
I especially liked...
I liked the strong characterization of Zachary Slade. He joins a private investigation agency and helps out the clients. My favourite thing in the whole book was the mysterious crow rhyme that I wasn't familiar with before. The addition of it in the book is just amazing and I hope there is more role of it in the next series.

COUNTING CROWS RHYME:

One for sorrow,
Two for luck;
Three for a wedding,
Four for death;
Five for silver,
Six for gold;
Seven for a secret,
Not to be told;
Eight for heaven,
Nine for [hell]
And ten for the devil’s own sell!”

The beginning of the story was very strong compared to the ending and I was a bit disappointed after finishing the story because of its mid and the ending.
I didn't like...
I think that Clare and Zachary's relationship was described in a lot of detail. The original focus should be on Jack Slade and how Clare is getting familiar with her new life. I found the intimate events quite distracting and annoying. The book would have been much better without them. If I take out those events, the book would only be a four hundred pages or a few more out of a six hundred. It was good in the beginning, tolerable but at the end, I was skipping those parts.

Besides, as I mentioned above, the ending and middle part of the story could have been made more interesting.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next chapter because of its interesting excerpt.
This Book made me feel...
Dissatisfied. I was expecting more action and to read something else, better than this.
The author of this Book...
I think Robin has a good way of writing detective and thriller. I would like to see more of that in other books. A nice element of fantasy or ghosts was also good.
I recommend this Book because...
Who doesn't want to read a blend of mystery, thriller, detective and ghosts?
I don't recommend this Book because...
It's gets kinda boring. As mentioned above, I skipped some parts in the novel.
