Summary of this Book...
This book is the #1 Bestseller in Fiction at the moment and for good reason. It is original and compelling from the first moment. I read it quickly and never once got bored.

It is a thriller of the first order, told in 1st person from the point of view of three women, Rachel, Anna and Megan.

We start with Rachel, who rides the train every day, living a sad life, vicariously enjoying the lives of people she sees from the train. She imagines a lot about a particular couple as they live a few doors down from where her ex-husband and his new wife and baby live.

She once lived there with her husband until her marriage fell apart. She blames herself and has a drinking problem that is only exacerbated by her extreme guilt. Rachel is not what she seems at first.

One night, something happens and she cannot remember the details of what happened, but she thinks she knows something to help in the investigation of the disappearance of one of the people she has watched from the train.

The police have trouble believing her story because of the drinking, and her involvement in the past contributes to the suspense and terror at the end of this book.

I will not give the ending away, but Rachel is much more than she seems at first.

Wonderful book!
I especially liked...
the character of Rachel and how she learned what the truth really was and where the finger of blame needed to point.
I didn't like...
I can't say because it would give it away. One of the characters is portrayed one way and turns out to be another way. That's all I'll say here about that!
This Book made me feel...
like I read a first class thriller with a wonderful ending. That rarely happens anymore.
I recommend this Book because...
the storytelling is excellent - I could picture all the characters as the thing unfolded. I started out disliking Rachel and I ended up feeling quite differently. Outstanding!
