Eddie Flynn was a con man turned lawyer. His daughter has been kidnapped by the Russian mob. They strapped a bomb to Eddie's back under his jacket so he can blow up the star witness against the mob leader who is on trial.
Eddie is determined to save his daughter and knows the truth isn't needed for a good defense lawyer to win a case. Can he beat the prosecution's case and get a mobster off to save his daughter?

This is a good criminal trial novel with a lot of action.

A courtroom drama with all the precision and intensity needed to make a really good novel. An ex-con artist, turned ex-lawyer, who is made to represent the head of the Russian mafia may sound a little out there but the author, Steve Cavanagh, has some skills. If this mobster has kidnapped your daughter to force you to represent him and plant a bomb to kill the prosecution's star witness, you would do what you could to save your daughter, right? The protagonist was a lawyer and a con-man. It gives so much credibility to the fact that he might be able to come up with a plan to figure out how to save his daughter.The action doesn't stop when even more obstacles are thrown into the mix and Eddie Flynn needs to continually re-evaluating his situation.

You would never suspect this is Steve Cavanagh's first novel. It is that good.

A perfectly paced novel with lots of twists that kept me reading. A great first novel by this author. I will be coming back for more.
