Summary of this Book...
Black Rose is the second book In the Garden trilogy.

Rosalind Harper lived in the Harper House, which is more of a mansion, along with Stella whom she recently hired as manager to work in her In the Garden store and Hayles a cousin. Her life has changed in the most drastic ways after losing her husband at an early age and marrying an idiot later on just to have him cheat on her.

Her love, flowers and gardening, and her three sons, one of which lives in the small summer house off the main manor. She enjoys her life and is as happy alone as she is surrounded by her new friends and family.

When the Harper Bride, the manors ghost, starts showing her appearance more and more, she decides to get to the bottom of it and hires a genealogist Mitchell Carnegie who's as much fascinated in her as he is in her family history.

As they get closer and emotions spark, the ghost of Harper House is none to pleased, leading them down a slippery slope where decisions have to be made.
This type of Book is good for...
Any person of any age who enjoys romance mixed with the supernatural.
When I finished n/a this Book I wanted to...
I can't wait to get my hands on the next book of this trilogy, Red Lily, to find out what happens to Hayley and her daughter Lily, along with the ghost of the Harper House.
This Book made me feel...
Gardening isn't my forte but I must say that the descriptions are rather inviting and makes you want to go outside and plant seeds, flowers, and trees in your own garden.
The n/a of this Book...
Another excellent read by Nora Roberts who knows how to keep a reader on their toes while keeping them entertained as well as involved with the characters of the book.
Further Comments...
I had a bit of a concern seeing how Rosalind Harper was getting closer to her fifties and I wasn't sure if I'd have much to relate to but found out soon enough that females, of any age, have similar problems. The only difference is the experience of life we've been dealt with.
