Summary of this Book...
I saw this book at Barnes and Noble. I haven't read a true crime book in a while, so this one looked interesting. From the title I was thinking that the book would have the answer to the question posed.

Well, it doesn't. A lot of pages and reading to learn that the authorities have a lot of theories but no one they can point to as the culprit(s) 25 years this December 6.

The crimes involved the brutal rape and murders of 4 young girls at a I Can't Believe It's Yogurt Shop in Austin Texas.

The worst thing about this book (Besides not answering the question) was that in my opinion the author showed very little empathy for the victims. All her sympathies and empathies went toward those who she thinks wrongly confessed or were accused and victimized by police.

The police in 1991 did not have the tools that they have today. That's a given, but some day I think the DNA will tell them who did it if there is good work on the National Data Base.

I don't know who did it anymore now than when I started reading this long book. The author doesn't like most of the cops and portrays them as manipulative jerks, for the most part.

I feel very sorry for the girls and their loved ones, but not for the hoodlums who for their own reasons confessed and then recanted. I don't know who did it, but I know there is something really wrong with someone who would try and take what they see as credit for doing something so heinous.

I just don't get this author at all and I didn't feel like I understood the victims or the crime after reading all these pages.

I felt like she was dead wrong about the ones who were accused in a lot of ways, though.
Further Comments...
This was a big waste of money and time reading.
