Finals for RAW competition.
In the dusk between dawns I diminish; escape
To the sheltering arms of the ancient plunging cascade.
There I embrace the effervescient whispers
         As serene streams caress me.
I am wound tight, evolving chrysalis.
          I change what I am.

Inviolate marble figurine
Carven, sculpted through mallet and pound.
On the road to unreal never,
I seek solace in the ossuary of abandoned souls
          Whose cries echo across the collective myriad;
Whose voices, effectively silenced, seep from home.

In the dark between dusks I soar
Skyclad, beyond all mortal reaches
Seeking sanctuary in white cleansing fire.
Thus I am reborn each dawn
though putty molded, scratched with broken fingernail etchings:
Once more clear-eyed to face smug visages.

In the dawns between dusks I mimic life
Step by step I perform the dance
Twirling into pirouettes of pretty child pretendings
Creating word patterns over blue-black tapestries
Entwined in an armor of deception designed
More to mortar, than to secure the easily breached.

For once again come moontide to stone I turn:
Venus unarmed at the mercy of he who molds flesh.
I flee to dreams from nightmare realities
And descend pliant into cradled bliss,
As mystic melodies mask mewling cries
I breath water essence; replenish blood.
